TATA CONSULTANCY Services (TCS), a leading information technology (IT) services, business solutions and outsourcing organisation, recently announced the launch of its development centre - TCS Kalinga Park in Bhubaneswar, Orissa.
The facility was inaugurated by Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister of Orissa, in the presence of Surjya Narayan Patro, Minister of Energy, Culture and Information Technology, Orissa and Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, IT, Orissa and TCS leadership team of S Ramadorai, chief executive officer and managing director, N Chandrasekaran, chief operating officer and executive director and S Mahalingam, chief financial officer and executive director as well as B Muthuraman, managing director, Tata Steel.
TCS Kalinga Park, which is being developed over 45 acres of land, is the latest addition to the company’s unique Global Network Delivery Model (GNDM). The first unit of the facility with a capacity of 1,000 seats has been made operational in the first phase. Upon completion, the facility will have a total capacity of 7,000 seats.
TCS Kalinga Park is among the greenest buildings in India and has been designed as India’s first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rated IT campus conforming to the highest LEED certification rating - platinum. The campus is an approved Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and will serve global TCS customers in industry segments like banking and financial services, retail, insurance and government with a focus on technology areas like enterprise solutions, assurance services, infrastructure services, business process outsourcing as well as IT services.
