ORISSA SPONGE IRON AND STEEL LTD.

The company was promoted in the year 1979. It was formerly known as Orissa Sponge Iron Limited. It introduces itself as the project & Engg. Division of Orissa Sponge Iron and Steel Ltd., rendering Project Consultancy, Project Management Services and Energy Management Services to its own plant as well as external projects.

The company also developed the methodology for generation of electricity from waste heat processes at the UNFCCC and has been successful in registration of OSIL WHPP project being categorized as a CDM project.
